| Argentina’s SECOM (Secretariat for Telecommunications) has promoted an agreement between the different mobile telephone operators (Nextel, Movistar, Claro and Personal) and the FAM (Argentine Federation of Municipalities) to carry out a pilot project for monitoring mobile telephone base stations. The aim is to monitor the electromagnetic fields generated by that sort of facility and make the results available to the public
